Following the Lord
Hannah ready to be baptized by her dad, Amador on the left and her Pastor, Ed,on the right.
Savanna ready to be baptized by her Grandpa, Able...her Pastor,Dave, is on the far left.
Two of our grandchildren chose to follow the Lord in baptism...........Hannah, on August 29th, 2009 and Savanna, on November 11th, 2009. I consider it a priviledge and honor to pray for my grandchildren....they are each very special and I love each of them so very much. I pray they will follow the Lord all the days of their lives, seeking His will in all they do and commit themselves wholy unto Him, hiding His Word in their hearts. May they each live as Proverbs 3:1-8 teaches......"My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones." I am so thankful you have declared your love for the Lord by following Him in baptism!! God bless you.

ATV Corn Maze Fun
October 25th, 2009....my birthday! We went out for dinner after church at Michaels On the Lake then headed to Vantage near the Columbia River to spend an afternoon at the ATV Corn Maze. The day was gray, cloudy and the fall air was crispy cool. No sun but it was perfect out! Amador, Lisa & Hannah, Bob, Jeni and Mom Chandler went with us on our corn maze adventure!
The maze was cut out in the shape of the United States-Chuck Yarbro told us they didn't usually give a map out but we somehow managed to end up with one!!
Here's the gang, ready to head out.....from left to right is: Hannah, Amador, Great Grandma Chandler, me, Gary, Lisa, Jeni and Bob. We weren't sure what to expect but had heard it was amazingly fun & the view of the river was great!
The maze was on a hillside over looking the Columbia River & the view really was awesome. It was hard to figure out what state we were in, even with the map.....here's Bob and Jeni, somewhere in the East! Several times-well, MORE than several times-we backtracked trying to get to certain states. A few times we were a bit lost trying to figure out how to get back to where we needed to be!
We thought this path took us into Florida but we really weren't sure....could have been Texas!! You can see the I90 Vantage Bridge in the distance in this picure.
This path was much steeper than the picture actually looks. Going down wasn't too bad but coming back up felt like you might roll backwards!
"Exit"!!! We hated to quit but it was getting late and we knew if we didn't start to head out it would get dark on us in the maze-we didn't want to be rescued from the maze in the dark!! We had a wonderful time together! Gary left for Olympia from there so Grandma and I rode home with Amador and Lisa. Was such an aMAZEingly fun day...loved every minute of it!!

Scatteered Seed
Last spring while weeding, I noticed a bit of green sprouting under the cement bench on the patio out back. I headed over to pull the weed, only to discover it was a petunia coming up in a crack in the patio. I left it and kept it watered and what a beautiful spot of color it gave ALL summer! Looks like several plants but it is ONE very healthy petunia growing in a cement crack!!
